MISSION
The Social Support Foundation (SSF) seeks a world of hope, tolerance and social justice where health, poverty and local economic development problems have been overcome and people live in dignity and serenity.

To contribute to the growth and development of deprived communities and to work towards achieving healthy living conditions for the disadvantaged persons.
Legal Status 
The Social Support Foundation (SSF) was formed as a multi - sectoral community support group for the needy and deprived in the Adansi traditional area of Ashanti region. The SSF has grown nation wide with operational coverage of 5 regions and 10 districts with four offices in three regions in Ghana, after its formation and registration with the Registrar Generals Department and the Ministry of Youth, Manpower and Department of Social Welfare registration in October 2002 (6/10/02)
Intervention Areas
- Health education and Hygiene promotion
- Rights and gender based advocacy for the deprived and under privileged
- Provision of water and sanitation facilities (Community animation)
- Community development and local economic development
- Capacity building and training of community members in Project, Financial Management Monitoring and Evaluation
- Organizational /Institutional Development, strengthening community participatory planning and research
- Fostering and participating in Coalitions and Networks for participatory and consensus building approach to socio-economic development
- Facilitating sustainable Agro-Forestry and Plantation development in Ghana
The SSF serves as a multi - sectoral community support group, formed with Technical support from the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service, the District Responds Initiative, Care International, Ghana Registered Midwives Association and Religious Bodies (Christians and Muslims), for the needy and deprived in the operational communities. The SSF is aimed at empowering people on their rights to effectively participate and demand their share towards community development. The SSF existence is also influenced greatly by the enhancement of a coordinated and sustained development through health and social support services to meet the needs of the vulnerable groups in our operational communities.
